Vanessa Carlton – A Thousand Miles lyrics

May 24, 2009 Hans Leave a comment

Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces passed
And I’m home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making my way
Through the crowd

And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight

It’s always times like these
When I think of you
And I wonder
If you ever
Think of me

‘Cause everything’s so wrong
And I don’t belong
Living in your
Precious memories

‘Cause I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight

And I, I
Don’t want to let you know
I, I
Drown in your memory
I, I
Don’t want to let this go
I, I
Don’t….

Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces passed
And I’m home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making my way
Through the crowd

And I still need you
And I still miss you
And now I wonder….

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass us by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you…

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
‘Cause you know I’d walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
If I could
Just hold you
Tonight…

Note your NIC address, for example your NIC/MAC Address is 00:E0:29:5E:FC:BE, You can know this address by type ifconfig in the terminal window (*NIX Platform)

Each hardware manufacturer is assigned 24-bit value by IEEE. This 24-bit value (3-octets) is used by manufacturers to create unique identity.

Open a web browser and go to this address http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/index.shtml

In the field provided, enter the first 3-octets of your mac address, in this case i use 00-E0-29 (Subtitute a hypen [-] for the colon[:]) then click search.

It will give a reply like this :

00-E0-29 (hex) STANDARD MICROSYSTEMS CORP.
00E029 (base 16) STANDARD MICROSYSTEMS CORP.
