Music is important in our life...

Music is important in our life...

Music plays a very important role in our life, We can almost hear music anywhere. Different music serves different functions in our life. Why is music important to many people?? The reasons are presented below..

Music is a very important form of art. Like other arts, music is ubiquitous and has become a part of our life. The whole lifetime of most people is accompanied by music. A baby falls in sleep in the music of a lullaby; a young student may learn to play a musical instrument and listen to music from radio, TV, and an iPod/MP3 Players. There is music for birthday, for weddings, for Christmas, for New Year’s day, dan for Independence day. There is music for every single occasion in our life.

We are surrounded by various kinds of music since we were born and music has become an integral part of our life. Intereseint enough, music often serves as important part to other art forms, such as music in dancing, drama and movies. As a matter of fact, may famous music pieces come from dancing and movies, such as theme from “Love Story”.

Music is part of the history. the history of music is almost as long as the history of human civilations. Music from old times has become the great culture of human civilizations. Music from old times has become the great culture heritage to us. One of the examples is classic music of Beethoven and Tehaikovsky. People enjoy their music from generation to generation.

Listening to music is one of the most popular forms of entertainment. There are so many kinds of music that can suit tastes of different people. Yound people like pop music and Rock-and-Roll and older people may enjoy classical music and opera. Whether we are happy or sad, there will always be music that we can listen to.

People can express their feelings and emotions through music. Lovers often play soft songs to show their love and devotion to each other. For the reasons presented above, we can see how important music to our life. It is hard to imagine a history without music, and life without music.

Who/What is Sukrat

July 23, 2009 Leave a comment

I’ve gotten a couple comments to varying posts which say simply

I think you are thinking like sukrat, but I think you should cover the other side of the topic in the post too…

These comments have been on some of my more controversial posts, and have all been caught by Akismet.

I started doing a little digging, who or what is a “sukrat”?

It turns out this is most likely a semi-random arrangement of letters used for the purpose of circumventing spam filters on blog and CMS engines. In this particular case, the commenter is peddling “enlargement” and medical goods/services. Further, this exact comment occurred twice in my Akismet filter, and numerous times across the web when I Googled it.

It is just more spam… Delete it and move along.

Speed Up Firefox 3.5 Start-Up on Windows

July 11, 2009 Leave a comment

I think this tutorial will improve your Firefox 3.5 performance by 20% Firefox 3.5 pulls data from certain file locations for randomized security purposes. Sometimes, though, that can lead to annoying slow start-ups in Windows. You can speed things up by cleaning out certain folder locations.

For whatever reason, having too many temporary, history, or recent document files sitting in your Windows locations slows down Firefox 3.5‘s data generation processes, as has been reported as a bug. The Mozilla Links blog recommends cleaning out these folders to move the browser’s work along:

C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Local Settings\History
C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\My Recent Documents
C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Temp\

On Vista or Windows 7 systems, simply replace “Documents and Settings” with “Users.” Setting up Firefox to automatically clean out your temporary files after browsing, as explained at the link below, helps prevent the accumulation from building again, but users who trade browsing time with Internet Explorer may have to occasionally work this manual method to wipe out those files.

Simple batch script to do weekly/monthly cleanup on MS-Windows:

del /s /q %TEMP%\*.*
del /s /q %TMP%\*.*
del /s /q %SystemDrive%\temp\*.*
REM del /s /q %SystemDrive%\tmp\*.*
del /s /q %windir%\prefetch\*.*
del /s /q %windir%\Temp\*.*
